Privacy and Cookie Notice
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This notice explains what information this website handles, why, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose. It covers your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and, if you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR.
Who we are
SMM Success School is run by House of Acts. If you have any question about your data, or want to use any of the rights below, email us at hello.houseofacts@gmail.com and we will respond.
What we collect, and when
- Nothing personal, just for visiting. You can read this whole website without giving us any personal information.
- What you choose to send us. If you message us on WhatsApp or by email, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you write. If you pay by bank transfer, your name and bank details appear on the receipt you send us. We use this only to answer you, enrol you and run the course.
- Your cookie choice. When you pick "Accept all" or "Only what is needed" on our cookie banner, that choice is saved in your own browser so we do not ask you again on every visit. It stays on your device until you clear it.
- Analytics, only if you accept. By default this site sets no tracking cookies. If you press "Accept all", we may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel to understand how the site is used, for example which pages people read. If you press "Only what is needed", no analytics load at all.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, time and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. These are not used to identify you personally.
Cookies and similar storage we use
- Consent choice (essential). Stored in your browser's local storage. Remembers whether you accepted or declined. Kept until you clear your browser data.
- Analytics cookies (optional). Set only after you press "Accept all", and only if analytics tools are active on the site. Used to measure visits and page usage.
Third-party services
- WhatsApp (Meta). Our enrolment buttons open WhatsApp. When you use them, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation.
- Google Fonts. The typeface on this site loads from Google's servers, which means your browser sends a standard request (including your IP address) to Google to fetch it.
- Our hosting provider. Stores the website files and keeps the technical logs described above.
Why we are allowed to use your data
We rely on your consent for any analytics cookies, on taking steps to enter a contract when you contact us to enrol, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and answering messages you send us. We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
How long we keep things
Messages and enrolment details are kept for as long as we need them to run the course and meet our record-keeping duties, then deleted. Your cookie choice lives in your own browser and is under your control at all times.
Your rights
Under the NDPA 2023 and the GDPR you can ask us, at any time and free of charge, to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you (access).
- Correct anything that is wrong (rectification).
- Delete your data (erasure).
- Limit or object to how we use it.
- Give you a copy of your data in a usable format.
- Withdraw consent, which is as easy as giving it: use the "cookie settings" link in the footer of our homepage to change your choice, or clear this site's data in your browser.
To use any of these, email hello.houseofacts@gmail.com. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or, if you are in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.
Children
This website and course are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
